Open Question: How much should I ask for this motorcycle?

I have a '06 Suzuki Hayabusa 1300R silver and blue. It has many chrome aftermarket parts, gear shift indicator, 13K miles, and really looks attractive. I am contemplating selling it though I kinda don't want to but lower back surgery may force me to. Never dropped but a few scratches from rocks hitting it while riding. She is an awesome bike. I was riding my HD Sportster this weekend and pulled up next to a guy that was as enthusiastic about his Harley as I am. I mean, this guy had Harley everything. He had the matching jacket, chaps, bandanna, glasses, etc... He looked totally awesome and like Harley riders should look like. He was about 45-50 years old and he was riding with his wife. I really admired both of them and how into Harley they are. They both had those totally cool microphones on their helmets that you can talk to one another to discuss safety issues, road conditions, which cappuccino bar you should stop at, you get the picture. Anyway, I pulled up next to them and they were blasting the new Brittney Spears album over their speakers! I couldn’t believe it! I gave him a hard time before the light changed and he said it was on the radio and not a CD. Does anyone know if there are any HD approved radio stations that HD riders should be listening to? I don’t think Brittney really represents the HD lifestyle. Something a little more hardcore would be better like the Dave Matthews Band or Coldplay really fits what motorcycles are all about. My girlfriend and I attended a WNBA game not long ago, and I figured it'd be the same type of crowd as an NBA game. Maybe more women in the crowd, but nothing much different. When I sat down, there were two heavyset women in their 40's with short haircuts (shorter than mine) sitting next to us. I thought nothing of it. During the game, we were enjoying the game. I glanced around the crowd at some of the more jubilant fans. One woman was wearing a leather motorcycle jacket and had a short haircut and a hoarse voice as she screamed some player's name. I saw various other women with short haircuts. I told my girlfriend that I was going to get us something from the concession stand. I left, and during my walk around the arena, I saw various couples of women holding hands with other women. After the game my girlfriend pointed out to me that she noticed a high percentage of lesbians at the game. Many being the butch/manly type. So, apparently this seems to be a trend at WNBA games in general. Why? I attend the NBA games, and I don't see large concentrations of gay male couples. So why do lesbians flock to see WNBA games? I figured the demographics of women at WNBA games would look just like the women that show up to NBA games.parental discretion: You missed the premise of the question. Voting Question: Ticket for no insurance while riding my motorcycle in california?

I got pulled over for speeding. i have no insurance but i have my motorcycle permit and my driving license. when he pulled me over he asked for my license and of course, i didnt have it. it was in my jacket and i didnt wear it. i had my permit for my bike though. gave him that and my registration. he asked for my insurance, and i knew i didnt have it. but i looked through my backpack and under the rear seat. so when he gave me the ticket he said that the no insurance and license was just a fix it ticket and to take it into the court and show them and they will sign it of and the other is speeding. when i looked at the ticket when i got home, in the part where they rite down if it can be corrected or not the license says yes and the insurance says no. my question is, if i buy insurance now and go in and show them that with the license will they sign it off. or what will they do if i dont have insurance? also the reason i dont have insurance is i dont have the funds to buy it. i just want an answer to my question please not a lecture. thank you more

Resolved Question: I was hit by a car today on my motorcycle. Should i get compensation?

I was hit by a car whilst riding my motorcycle this morning. I was driving in a Northerly direction. A land-rover was waiting at a t-junction, poking itself right out into the road I was travelling up, waiting to turn right. I looked to my right where there was a queue of traffic moving Southwards and there were no spaces for the car to turn into so it seemed safe to pass the car (there was plenty of room between the front of the car and the white lines in the middle of the road). As I was approaching the vehicle to move past it I noticed that the driver was not looking right, so I slowed right down to about 7 miles per hour to give the driver plenty of time to see me. I continued to approach the car cautiously (having been taught to always presume the worst from drivers). Suddenly the car accelerated forwards, taking a harsh right, smashing into the side of me with the front of their car. The bike skidded outwards, causing me to fall and hit the ground, and the bike to slide off down the road. I hit my head against the ground and was kept stationary until an ambulance arrived to check for neck damage etc. After being looked over and given the all-clear, I was put into the ambulance. The police officer on the scene took my details and a statement and informed me that the driver had given the same record of events and accepted full blame for the accident due to their failure to look right (or even forwards) for oncoming vehicles. Witnesses had also backed up my version of events. I was luckily relatively undamaged. I have a stiff back, arms, and neck, as well as a very painful, large bruise on my inner thigh where the bike hit me as it skidded down the road. But no broken bones. As far as physical damages are concerned, my helmet hit the ground when I landed and has a scratched up visor; the motorcycle has a bent handlebar, leaking petrol, a busted choke, a busted starter motor, and gear lever; and my motorcycle gear (jacket, trousers) have obviously endured an impact. As far as emotional damage, I very shaken up and in shock for a good 10 minutes; I missed an official lesson observation at work; and I have to arrange alternative transport to work until the motorcycle is sorted out. The police will be giving me the driver's insurance details later on and the mechanic that picked up the bike after the accident is holding off doing the work until the driver's insurance company approves the work. What are my rights in terms of a payout from their insurance company? Do I have a right to be reimbursed the cost of motorcycle repair and damage to equipment? Do I have the right to compensation for injuries, shock, and inconvenience? I am a UK motorcyclist, so I was on the right side of the road. I'm a sensible rider I assure you. Thanks for the information everyone else. I want to know what sort of questions I will be asked by the insurance company when I phone them and don't want to give them irrelevant information. I will make sure I don't settle for a 50/50 claim and will try my hardest to get 100% damages for the motorbike at least and try for money for a new helment and jacket/trousers (which have been damaged by me sliding on the road). I know I have to be realistic though - insurance companies aren't known for their compassion. It's a shame I don't have the driver's phone number as she might have prefered to sort this all out without the insurance company's involvement.In response to 'Scouse' , I was driving past the junction so I was actually in front of the car (which was emerging from a side road indicating right), travelling up the main road, not on it's right. The car drove straight into me. The driver, witnesses and police agreed the other driver was totally at fault. more

Ok I am working on a werewolf story, nothing to do with Twilight besides that Twilight made me feel like writing in first person. I usually do fan fiction and never in first person. Heres what I am asking, when writing in first person, is it ok to decribe things like this as an example from my story "I heard the sound of a motorcycle, it was coming from down the parking lot, right behind me. Turning to see what kind of person it was, I saw the black bike with orange flames come to a stop. It was a young guy, I could tell from his body shape. His shoulders were broad and under his leather biker jacket, I could see pecks through his white t-shirt; he also wore a pair of ripped jeans. When he took his helmet off, he had the same hair style as me, short and spiked, his hair color was gray. He had a hansom face, with a bit of a goatee, and his eyes were forest green. Something caught my eye, while I was looking at his face, he had three piercings in his right ear; figures the guy who'd be perfect for me is gay." I also am wondering if its alright to have the characters not speak much, only with the main girl mentioning what has been said, at least at the start untill something starts to actually happen. I don't plan on making her another Bella as shes not obsessing over the main guy, which by the way isnt the one mentioned in the paragraph. more

I am trying to get classic style motorcycle riding jacket, I found this site at leatherup.com and its just a great site with good deals cause your ordering from a major warehouse. Anyways I found one leather jacket with lightweight removable armor for 99.99 and original was 189.99 and the brand of it is xelement I found another one looks the same and also by xelement for 89.99 and the original price was 249.99 and it had like 32 good reviews while the other had no reviews. But are popular and both look good, both are premium leather cowhide. I just can't decide which one and the fact one used to be 250.00 the other used to be 189.00 gets me concerned about quality?
